4th of July: Handbags to Wear at Any Event

When it comes to holidays, I enjoy dressing for the occasion without being over-bearing. So with the 4th of July being right around the corner, I've been on the hunt for some outfits and handbags that are fit for any event from a beach BBQ to a night of watching fireworks.
You don't have to dress like Uncle Sam to show your American pride. For pool or beach events, I would tone down a red striped bikini top with solid red bottoms and a white floppy hat. If I were feeling blue more than red, I’d pair a blue bikini with a single-starred blue tote. I would definitely prefer one, big star on my tote as opposed to a multiple-starred pattern because this way, I’m dressing for the holiday while still keeping it subtle and clean.

When I saw this Fold Over Clutch by Artessorio, my first reaction was, “Fireworks on a clutch? Perfect!” This clutch is ideal for the holiday, as the blue and white colors scream 4th of July while the signature pattern resembles fireworks. The best part? I get to decide if I want to wear the bag over the shoulder or as a handheld clutch.
Dooney & Bourke has, once again, risen to the occasion. How adorable are the Gromment Shopper totes for the 4th of July? They come in a variety of shades, but the red and blue striped patterns are definitely appropriate for the holiday, as they can be the statement piece of your outfit while simultaneously fitting in all of your beach essentials. See? You can look cute without feeling like you’re carrying the American flag.

This last bag is certainly one I would wear on any occasion, not just 4th of July. Brynn Capella’s ‘Lauren Crossbody Fold Over Bag’ adds a rich pop of color and is multi-functional, as it can be worn five different ways. After gushing over the fact that the handbag has tons of zippers and pockets, I appreciate the fact that the designers paid great attention to detail when making this bag. With a white fitted dress and some wedges, I’m ready to celebrate Independence Day.
