Along with UN Ambassador, mom and Hollywood actress, Angelina Jolie can add "Face for Louis Vuitton" to her list of things she has done. Jolie is the latest celebrity to pose for Louis Vuitton's "Core Values" ad campaign and she does it so effortlessly for famed photographer Annie Leibovtiz.
Sporting her own clothes and a full face without makeup, Jolie is fresh and serene in Cambodia's Siem Reap province with a Louis Vuitton Alto Holdall in Monogram Canvas over her shoulder. She agreed to return to Cambodia to photograph the ad campaign after describing her first encounter with Cambodia as a life-changing experience. As a United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees Goodwill Ambassador, she's raising awareness of the dangers of landmines. The tagline reads: "A single journey can change the course of a life. Cambodia, May 2011."
The "Core Values" ads are set to run for 18 months and will feature other celeb-humanitarians like Bono. Louis Vuitton Executive Vice President Pietro Beccari says, "We are honored that Angelina Jolie agreed to participate in our Core Values campaign, whose central theme of travel as both a physical and emotional journey is one with which she can personally identify. Angelina Jolie is a global star in every sense--not only in her career as an actress, but also in her long-term commitment to international humanitarian issues."
Think it's about the money? I'm sure Jolie was given a hefty check for taking part in this ad campaign. Nonetheless, Jolie's LV paycheck is being donated to charity. Noble? Most definitely.
