Everyone who knows me is well aware I'm a handbag lover. Particularly, I have an affinity for large handbags. That being said, I don't always feel inclined to lug my oversized bag on a quick run to the grocery store. I need both hands to juggle my purchases as it is.

New York is the epitome of style. It's one of the fashion capitals of the world, after all. While running in and out of designer meetings and showroom visits, we spotted amazing handbag style on the streets of NYC. Now, I don't claim to be The Sartorialist, we'll leave that job to the pro. I did, however, want to share with our lovely readers the handbag trends of Manhattan! I tried to be as inconspicuous as possible.

DeGroot Handbags was born in the Spring of 2000 by Missy DeGroot. She designs bold handbags that make a statement yet are not overpowering. The combination of different textures, shapes and colors are truly what makes these bags unique. Just take a look at the zipper hobo. This bag is the perfect balance of function and fashion. The zippers are fun and are not at all overpowering and the color and shape make this a perfect everyday bag.
