This past October, Handbago had the privelege of attending the Bagtrends Arm Candy Party in New York City, where we rubbed elbows with some of today's most incredible designers. One of them was Adriana Castro, a Miami based brand responsible for putting dozens of sophisticated and sultry handbags and accessories into the hands of Eva Longoria, Heidi Klum, and Kim Kardashian. Adriana herself was unable to attend the event, but Handbago recently caught up with her to ask how she turned her designer dreams into a fabulous reality.
The life of a fashion blogger can be a glamorous one; after all, there aren't too many jobs out there that require you to attend VIP parties, annual product sales, and designer showcases. It's hard work, but somebody has to do it. However, in my opinion, out of the dozens of invitations a fashion writer may receive, those that truly excite are the personal invitations from a designer to visit his or her private showroom to view their newest pieces--or if you're lucky, pieces that have yet to be released.
Hanbago was lucky enough to view exclusive photos of the latest collection from Marcela Calvet. The new collection is called Ariege: "unspoiled, captivating, seductive, fascinating, splendorous. The ethos of our Limited Edition Collections."
All bags are handmade at Marcela Calvet's Buenos Aires atelier and made with Tegu and Overo Lizard skin and lined with supple Argentine calfskin. Each handbag is named after famous French actresses, models, writers and Royalty.
