A few weeks ago, Handbago.com got a chance to meet,Jennie Engelhardtwith, one of the designers behind Hare + Hart. Easygoing, yet enigmatic, Jennie is a true reflection of her and her partner, Emily Harrison's, collection. Hare + Hart is a line that strives for a timeless impression, stands behind distinguished, Argentinian craftsmanship, and cares about creating as little waste as possible. Delivering handbags, accessories, and jackets that just, well, feel good.
Coach has recently teamed up with Brooklyn-based artist Hugo Guinness to create an eccentric collection featuring Guinness' signature hand-cut linoleum prints. Although masculine, the Hugo Guinness Collection is surprisingly accessible.
With the newest season of Mad Men premiering this Sunday night, we simply couldn't resist putting together some of our very own Mad Men inspired looks at Handbago.com! Season 5 is sure to have us swooning over highly stylized 60's looks, but here are a few of our own that would be sure to catch Don Draper's attention.
When scrolling through the Donatienne Handbags lookbook for 2012, one cannot help but notice the obvious influence that California has on designer Nikki Erwin. From brilliant orange, neon pink to classic black, every handbag exudes the cool, easy Los Angeles spirit that is emulated on both the runway and boardwalk. Crafted by hand in Los Angeles, every single bag is charming, unique, yet totally practical. Every stud, fringe, and piece of hardware is perfectly placed to create a bag that embodies true California chic.
If you haven't heard the name Tod Hallman, you are missing out as he's definitely someone to know in the fashion industry. A day in the life of Tod includes styling celebrities for red carpet events, producing flawless fashion shows, holding various fashion events, blogging on his weekly blog and much, much more. I had the pleasure of speaking with Tod and let me tell you, his down-to-earth personality makes him easy to talk fashion with.

Inside the Studio: Meeting with Sherry Wolf Handbags

Super-realist painter, star of her own "mockumentary" series, and head turning handbag designer. All of these attributes fit concisely into the every day job description of Sherry Wolf. I've been a huge Sherry Wolf fan for years, so it was with excitement (...and a whole lot of trepidation) that I had the pleasure of meeting with this bona fide super woman this past week. I am convinced beyond a shadow of a doubt that everything she does is a direct reflection of her as an artist, and to say the least, that makes for all things fabulous.

Editor's Bag of the Week: Joy Fabiano Belle Tote

Fourth of July has come and gone, but not to fret! The summer is still under way and there's plenty of down time to soak in the sun and frolic on the beach. The perfect summer time bag to take on your latest travels, to the beach, to the boardwalk, or to take toting around while shopping. The Belle Tote by Joy Fabiano does all of the above and with its cool color combination, supple leather and lovely wave-like texture.

Editor's Bag of the Week: SR Squared by Sondra Roberts

While many of us bagistas and fashionistas appreciate great handbags and wonderful fashion, not all of us can afford the price tags that come along with duds. Thus, this week's look of the week is completely budget-friendly. A bag for less than $60…shoes under $50…an entire look for $300. This SR Squared by Sondra Roberts St. Tropez Lizard Shoulder Bag is perfectly sweet and stylish this summer, but no need to break the bank. Gleaming gold hardware and a lizard-embossed body are all so lovely, but its gold chain strap adds sheen and glamor.

Editor's Look of the Week: Linea Pelle Medium Dylan Tote

It's all about the white this summer, so I've chosen to include this Medium Dylan Tote by Linea Pelle in white for this week's Editor's Look of the Week. Clean, crisp and breezy, white is one perfect summer trend to try out--and this bag will take you through summer and straight into fall. Comfy, slouchy and spacious, this tote has gleaming gold hardware and just the right amount of rivets and zippers without over-doing it.

Editor's Look of the Week: Menbur

Sparkles are the epitome of any great birthday party. Although my birthday isn't until September, I've put together a look that would kill for any birthday girl. Who said a birthday clutch had to be expensive? This Menbur Cano Clutch is all glitz and glam without the huge price tag. At a cool $73, you'll be sure to look as great as you feel when you don't break the bank on your birthday clutch--which will leave you room to splurge on other things we love (like shoes and a sparkly dress).
