Designer Spotlight: Dareen Hakim

I try not to play favorites, but I can't help it! The Dareen Hakim Collection is going to be taking over my wardrobe, and I can offically die a happy bagista! Dareen Hakim is one of the most inspirational designers and perhaps the smartest. Graduating from Harvard Business School, Dareen pursued a career in finance, yet realized her true passion was in the fashion world, particularly handbags. Dareen incorporates the magical finesse of Lebanese design in each handbag and gives them their own unique twist. The special thing about these handbags are the inspirational Arabesque inscriptions on a majority of her handbags.

This handbag is my personal favorite and I would not oppose to carrying this every day! My favorite aspect of this bag is the scripture, which can be from an assortment of insipirational quotes. This bag's inscription is, "Happiness is a journey." Preach! I chose to pair this shoulder bag with a neutral leather jacket, and a pair of turqoise heels. Although this color choice is daring, I felt it worked perfectly to give this outfit that perfect quirky look. The chain hardware on this handbag adds another classy and chic detail.
