Fall 2011 Handbag Trend: Snakeskin is in!

If a snakeskin get-up just isn’t for you or if you’re too hesitant to adopt a pair of python pants and channel your inner Veruschka, then relish in the many other possibilities.  Have a fling with a pair of snakeskin booties, try platforms, and then a clutch; we promise, you will not regret it. If you are a fearless fashionista, then try a snakeskin silhouette in a high-waisted pant, biker jacket, or a trench. When wearing a boldly fierce snakeskin (or any breathtakingly adventurous pattern, for that matter), keep the rest of your ensemble simple and chic. Pair it with nudes and neutrals, blacks, and deep hues of maroons, navy’s, and plums.

For the more modest fashionista’s, start with an ankle boot, flats, and a simple clutch or shoulder bag.  Mix it in casually with your everyday ensembles, and take it from there. Whether your style energy is daring or demure, one thing is for certain – when dealing with matters of what’s essential for every woman’s closet, snakeskin is right up there with the LBD and a favorite pair of jeans.
