Gucci Collectors: Exclusive "Fashion Through The Ages" Event

If you're an avid Gucci handbag collector, then you can't afford to miss the December 2 Gucci auction at Christies.com. In January of this year, Christine's, one of the worlds most respected auction houses, launched a dedicated section of the site for Gucci collectors to upload photo of their vintage handbags and submit an appraisal request. Within nine months, they have received over 600 submissions and unearthed a variety of rare and iconic bags from around the world. The vast majority of submissions have been treasured possessions that were inherited or passed down through family generations. A team of Christie's experts along with Gucci’s in-house archivists assess items and provided an auction estimate. Owners have the opportunity to sell their items to Gucci, or in a future Christie's auction, if desired. A variety of the most precious and unique handbags will be featured in Christie’s upcoming annual Fashion Through The Ages Event on December 2, 2010.
