I Spy Style: Fashion's Night Out Street Style in LA

This year Handbago was front and center to one of the biggest fashion events of the year. We were able to attend Fashion's Night Out in LA and witnessed some fashion savvy LA women donning amazing designer garb. While many women opted to jump headfirst wearing this year's fall essentials like black, nudes, and minimalistic styled clothing, many Cali girls wore feminine brights to light up the night. From bright pinks to florals, I really think we are going to see more women advancing this trend into fall. Of course in perfect LA fashion, we also spotted luxurious and pricey handbag staples like the 2.55 Chanel, Givenchy Nightingale, and a Rebecca Minkoff hobo. So let's check out these six ladies that caught our fashion eye and review two main trends for the fall season: minimalism and feminine brights/florals.

Minimalism
From simple silhouettes to masculine accessories, the minimalistic approach is alive and well for fall 2010. (Described from left to right)
1) A full skirt paired with oxford, as seen in our first outfit observation, prooves that mixing feminine and masculine pieces equates to the perfect sophisticated outfit concoction.
2) I'm also absoluetly in love with monochromatic outfits like the second outfit pictured. Layering a button up collared shirt under a little black sweater brings a whole new meaning to white collar dress. Appropriately paired with a full tulle skirt, socks, and pumps this look is tailored and polished with a flirty twist.
3) The third outfit pictured here is a tribute to the nude/black trend that we saw all over this year's fall 2010 runways of Michael Kors, Phillip Lim, and Chloé. A smart men's blazer with nude tee worked amazing with a little blue accent of the Chanel 2.55 purse with fox tail accessory.
Fiercely Feminine
Another amazing trend we saw on the streets of LA were flirty feminine multi-prints and bright colors. Warms hues of pinks, purples, and yellows are balanced out with nude/neutral footwear to appropriately fit the fall season. (Described from left to right)
1) The lingerie trend is of course back in style again as we see in the first outfit pictured. Silk fabrics in warm muted hues are chicly paired with textured tights and gorgeous pumps.
2) This amazingly young fashionista wears an age defining bustier dress with full skirt the perfect outfit and color to stand out on a night like Fashion's Night Out.
3) For our last little number, we stumbled upon this amazing fashionista named Katie who is the designer and owner of Katie May Collection. Of course she was debuting a gorgeous sample from her line that will be making its' first appearance in November 2010. For more info about the dress she is wearing and her other designs, check out her website at www.katiemay.net. In true fashion form, Katie was carrying an amazing bag the Chanel 2.55 Caviar flap bag with silver hardware. GORGEOUS!!!
Overall we were overwhelmed and intoxicated by all the great fashion walking the streets of LA (and by the never ending bottomless glasses of champagne at every store). We had an amazing time taking in all the sights and sounds of Fashion's Night Out and definitely look forward to seeing all the trends above evolve and flourish through out the fall season.
