Karl Lagerfeld's most anticipated reveal of the season lives up to Chanel's famed fashion house reputation. Their Fall Haute Couture 2011 collection embodies the sentiments of Coco in a nutshell: charming androgyny. Classic Chanel tweed suits are seen throughout the collection, in addition to the many bursts of reinvented menswear. The shapes within the collection are one of the most striking elements; the primary goal was to convey femanine curviness, and straight masculine silhouettes within the collection. As Lagerfeld himself put it, there was "a lot going on." Sheer fabrics were also present in the evening gown section, but a demure sensibility remained with their floor-length cuts.

To compliment the collection, Lagerfeld introduced the New Boy Bag, which presents a clean and unobtrusive design. Universal color schemes (e.g. red, black, and white,) coupled with a boxed structure reinforce the unisex concept.
