When high-end designers team up with noteworthy charities or foundations, it makes any fashionista feel good about splurging. On Friday, September 16, the Salvatore Ferragamo store in Beverly Hills held a breakfast that supported the Circle of Care Foundation, a non-profit that seeks to help build a better community. Through raising funds, they are able to "provide vital support for burn survivors and their families, family caregivers and the loved one they are caring for who has a memory disorder or other chronic illness."

The COCF has a variety of programs that seek to help those who are in need. One specific program focuses on gathering burn survivors for an inspirational weekend. Every year, the COCF partners with the Grossman Burn Center to provide support for a Burn Survivor and Family Camp Weekend where about 200 burn survivors and their families are given the opportunity to come together at a sports camp. At the camp, survivors and loved ones share their stories and learn from each other how to lead a healthy life. Thanks to the Circle of Care Foundation, a housing program located directly across from the Grossman Burn Center is provided for the families of burn survivors. This ensures that loved ones have a place to stay while the burn patients get treated.
Seeing how effective the COCF is, it's no wonder Ferragamo decided to support such an amazing cause. Attendees of the intimate breakfast got to sneak an exclusive preview of Ferragamo's new exotic handbag collection, which takes exotics to a whole other level. The collection also includes structured handbags as well as a pair of fierce boots. After a few failed attempts at containing my excitement, I was able to snatch a few (or more) shots.

I also had the pleasure of speaking with the Circle of Care's CEO, Linda David. The passion she feels for helping others was contagious and truly inspiring. If you would like to make a donation or learn more about the Circle of Care Foundation, click here!
