Description: In 1940 Christiane Barbagallo’s great grandparents Yolanda and Lyonel Aguilar founded Teneria Bataan, the largest tannery in Nicaragua, located in the historical city of León. After four generations Christiane Barbagallo still preserves the love, craftsmanship and appreciation for leather that has been passed on within her bloodline. It was after she finished her studies in Industrial Management from Purdue University that she revisited her desire to continue her family’s legacy.

Today, Christiane strives to provide women with an exquisite product that is luxurious, chic, timeless and affordable. She only selects the finest skins of exotic pieces protected by the Convention of International Trade of Endangered Species of Wild Flora and Fauna (CITES). Her pieces are proudly manufactured in the USA and Costa Rica where her family’s atelier is now located.
