MEET OUR HANDBAG STYLISTS

Kelly DixonKelly Dixon is a Los Angeles Fashion Designer and Stylist who has worked at top fashion houses in both New York and Los Angeles. A fashion trend researcher and style guru, she is the creative force behind the fashion company Stylish Existence.

Kelly is the former head of research and product development for shoes and handbags at Rock & Republic and has also consulted to several top fashion companies. Along with designing shoes, handbags and other accessories, she is a popular stylist to Hollywood’s fashion-conscious elite, rising stars in the music industry and to regular folks who are searching for a natural, confidence-building style that looks and feels effortless. On occasion she is called upon to lend her talents to television, film and stage projects and most recently applied her fashion skills to television’s reality show “Tough Love” and the TVLand Awards, where she had a delightful time dressing the wonderful Neil Patrick Harris.

Raised in the Chicago area, Kelly is a graduate of the highly respected Fashion Institute of Technology in New York, where she earned her BFA Degree in Fashion Design. When she is not designing or styling, she travels regularly to London, Paris, Spain and Italy to monitor emerging fashion trends and to shop, shop, shop. Along the way, she has also studied with top LA fashion stylist Luke Storey and often partners with other top fashion experts on high profile projects for the entertainment and music industries.

Kelly’s first summer job was with Salvatore Ferragamo in New York, where she first fell in love with luxury Italian accessories. She was also fortunate to be involved with several interesting projects for Calvin Klein, Bruno Magli, Perry Ellis and other prominent names in the business. Her favorite designers are Hedi Slimane, John Galliano, Martin Margiela, Tom Ford, Marc Jacobs, Alexander McQueen and Miuccia Prada. She also really appreciates the work of Rodarte, Alexander Wang and Matthew Williamson.

She firmly believes that style comes from within and that attitude is what really pulls a look off, but she also believes style can be learned and practice makes perfect. Kelly’s number one rule is to take a look you like and build on it, never copying it to a “t.” As Oscar Wilde said, “Be yourself; everyone else is already taken.”
