Simone Harouche started out as a stylist and has assembled an incredible collection of antique textiles and clothing used as inspiration when designing for her clients. Simone's collection spans from the 19th century dowry textiles to 1970's Thea Porter kaftans. As her styling business blossomed, she continued to acquire pieces, not knowing that she would eventually do with this mounting collection. One day she decided to make something of herself, combining her treasured antique textiles and her love of handbags. Tired of seeing leather bags that were just identical to the next. Simone set out to make a great bag for herself that had personality and was unique.
It wasn't long until people started to take notice. One person in particular though, prompted her to think about turning this "one off item" into something bigger. Simone's client and fashion icon. Nicole Richie, love the bag and asked if she could have one for herself. After Nicole was spotted wearing the handbag, Simone was inundated with requests and questions about her creation. What was once just a little collector's hobby was turning into much more.
