The sun is officially out and if you're anything like me, you spend your days sitting behind a computer, gazing out the window at the blue skies day-dreaming about being 10 again and summer vacation. If I'm lucky I may find myself meandering down to the pool for an hour or so on the weekend, where I then once again sit behind my iphone and work, so today I am sending out the message that we need to make some changes and stop reminiscing of the summer breaks we had as children and start reliving those sun drenched days of sprinklers, summer camp, sand castles and tree climbing.

I know everyone has fall on the brain as the sun continues to set into the new fashion season, but I'm not ready to throw on a fur and tights just yet. I was almost ready to concede until I saw these beautiful coated canvas clutches by Sondra Roberts. At first gaze, my imagination immediately swept me away laying out in the sands of Waikiki while enjoying a tropical punch cocktail from Duke's. With bamboo hardware and fringe detail, this a fresh, unique take on the average summer clutch.

BE & D Hoffman Bag

Upon first look at the BE & D Hoffman bag I said, "hm, that's interesting." But then it quickly turned to, "I love this. Must. Have. Now." The Hoffman bag is quite an interesting shape.

Yesterday was my 23rd birthday. On any other year, with any better income, I'd probably buy myself a present. I believe in rewarding oneself, especially when it's your special day! While I wasn't able to buy myself a birthday present this year, it got me thinking about handbags and how they make the perfect special occasion gift, whether it's for someone else or simply for yourself.

Handbag of the Week: Balenciaga Holiday City

The Balenciaga city bag is an iconic bag that reinvents itself each year. For Holiday they came out with the City bag in a beautiful sky blue with red accents. Red is such a huge trend for Holiday. We're seeing red zipper accents all over the place. I'm usually not a huge fan of red, but when it is in subtle accents in a deep shade, I'm all about it! I'm ready to carry this bag in red, white and blue for this Memorial Day Weekend!

Are you tired of hearing about crossbody bags? Me neither. My love for crossbody bags grows daily. I wear mine to the grocery store, to my daily target run, walking around town window shopping, or going to a concert. It was also the perfect accessory running around New York City last week! After being in New York for a week, I saw a lot of handbags. Beautiful leathers, bold colors, it was so hard to pick just one. But I was in the mood for something different. Enter MZ Wallace. The brand that has a cult-like following has been on my mind since I first saw the collection. MZ Wallace is what I like to call nylon chic. They do non leather bags like I've never seen before. Handbag of the Week: Stephanie Johnson Tribeca ML Traveler

Ok, so it's not a handbag, per say, but it is a great makeup bag and currently what I'm lusting over this week! The Stephanie Johnson Tribeca ML Traveler is the best make-up bag I've seen in a long time. I really wish I had this beauty to take with me for my trip to New York City next week. First, it's a great shape, perfect for all your makeup and then some. The gorgeous chocolate brown really caught my eye with the aqua trim.
